Purpose and Focus

AmCham, guided by American business values of competitiveness, transparency and free enterprise, is the voice of U.S. business in Serbia. Through a proactive dialogue as well as open partnership with government, business and other key stakeholders, AmCham is the leader in improving the regulatory and business environment.

Found in 2001, AmCham Serbia today gathers 185 US, international and local companies which have collectively invested over 14 billion Euros in the domestic economy and employ over 100,000 employees. Through our seven advocacy working groups, AmCham has become a strong catalyst for the important economic policy reforms in Serbia.

Following the outcome of AmCham General Assembly meeting, the AmCham Board of Governors each year holds annual strategy off-site meeting establishing its goals and action plan for the current year. The Board decides to maintain the strong focus on business advocacy thereby addressing major regulatory problems faced by the investors:

  • Commitment to promoting the best practices in corporate social responsibility (CSR)

  • A proactive approach in membership retention/recruitment
  • Strengthen AmCham Executive Office
  • Communications/Events aligned with advocacy focus
