The AmChamps Class of 2016 visited Telenor, gaining information on both its core business and also the company’s contemporary art collection and its programs for internships and future leaders.
At the start of the event, the AmChamps were greeted by Nevena Stefanović, Telenor’s Chief HR Officer and Branko Mitrović, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, who gave them basic information on the company, its business processes and overall position in the market. After this short intro, the AmChamps were invited to see Telenor’s unique Collection of contemporary Serbian Art.
A walk-through of the collection was led by Saša Janjić, curator, who explained the idea for its formation in 2007 as an innovative workplace surrounding for Telenor’s employees. Currently there are exhibited over 200 works by more than 80 Serbian artists of middle age and younger. As a respectable overview of Serbian art from 2000 to the present, it has been exhibited in seven separate locations during the last year, thus displaying to the wider community the creativity and excellence of local creators in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Vršac, Čačak, Kraljevo and Niš.
At the end of the visit, the hosts described the Telenor Internship - a model for senior students--and the exceptional Telenor Youth Forum, a global platform created by Telenor Group on the idea of “digitization for peace”, providing to young leaders from around the world who went through a rigorous screening and application process, with an arena in which to come together and tackle global social challenges.
