'Running For Children' Project by Amchamps Alumni

For the second consecutive year, the AmChamps Alumni club organized an humanitarian action as part of the Belgrade Marathon

Following Delicatessen Monday, which was successfully organized in March, another AmChamps Alumni activity was launched to raise funds for SOS Children's Village Kraljevo. Over 180 participants and alumni of the AmChamps program and employees of AmCham member companies supported the "Running for Children" initiative by buying T-shirts provided by the company CLICO. On April 16, AmChamps alumni and members of AmCham participated in the 5 km Fun Run as part of the Belgrade Marathon, together with the children from the SOS Children's Village Kraljevo. After the race, participants and children enjoyed walking around Kalemegdan.

The "Running for Children" initiative was organized for the second time as part of the Belgrade Marathon. Last year’s event collected over 160,000 RSD for the Center for Youth Integration Svratište. Those interested can still can assist this year's campaign by ordering the official "Running for Children" T-shirts at the price of 1,000 RSD. All funds raised this year will contribute to the support of the large number of children who grow up in SOS Children's village Kraljevo.

The "AmChamps Alumni Club" involves participants in the first and second generation of the "AmChamps - Young leaders of change" educational program. Young managers of AmCham’s member companies and selected students of Belgrade University successfully attended this program during 2014 and 2015. In addition to continuing education, humanitarian activities are also a part of the mission of the club.
