Roundtable on the practice of notaries in the application of regulations in the real estate field

Representatives of Chamber of Public Notaries, law firms and AmCham member companies attended a roundtable on the practice of notaries in the implementation of regulations in the real estate field, organized by the AmCham Committee for Real Estate.

"The need to open a dialogue between the economy and holders of public notary functions was confirmed as a priority for the AmCham Committee for Real Estate in 2019 in view of the important role assigned to notaries in property law," said Marko Jović, member of the AmCham Board of Directors and head of general affairs at the company VIP Mobile, in his opening remarks.
The round table, which was held at the Chamber of Public Notaries, was attended by notaries Sava Dedajić and Aleksandar Mrkaljević, members of the Executive Board of the Chamber of Public Notaries, who gave answers to numerous questions from American Chamber of Commerce members about various practices of public notaries and their interpretations of regulations in the real estate field.
The discussion moderators were Svetlana Vukelić from Apatin Brewery, who is also Vice President of the AmCham Committee for Real Estate, and Ksenija Golubović from the Zivković Samardžic Law Office. The moderators pointed out that the aim of the round table was to clarify legal issues that in the past have often been subject to a variety of interpretations in practice, with the aim of establishing greater predictability for companies that want to comply fully with regulations.
