The SBB Foundation has built a park-playground in the center of Kragujevac, enabling the city’s youngest residents to enjoy socializing and playing outdoors.
Representatives of the SBB foundation, together with representatives of the city of Kragujevac, who provided full support for this project’s realization, welcomed attendees to the opening ceremony.
“We are very pleased gather here today for the opening of the 22nd park to be donated in Serbia. By constructing the playground we wanted to provide different age groups, especially our youngest fellow citizens, but also older ones, with a quality place for play, socialization and recreation. Donating parks throughout Serbia is just one of the activities we are undertaking as part of the SBB Foundation’s socially responsible campaign “Don't Dirty. You have no excuse!“ Our goal is to increase the environmental awareness of citizens and encourage responsible behavior towards the environment, ” said SBB Foundation Director Jovana Lukić.
Over four years, the SBB Foundation has cleaned up 82 cities and produced the play "Who's Dirty There" for 27,000 children. In addition, 40,000 eco bags have been produced and distributed and 22 children's playgrounds have been built throughout Serbia. In the upcoming period, the SBB Foundation will continue to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection through its activities.
