The private healthcare provider Medigroup has placed its facilities at the disposal of the Serbian Government.
Speaking for Serbia’s public broadcaster RTS, Marija Rabrenović, Medigroup’s Executive Director, said the healthcare provider has been involved in the Covid-19 response since the Government adopted a decision to that effect on 24 March. She added that some Medigroup doctors were working at public healthcare institutions.
‘We provide patient transport free of charge, we have made our ambulances available, and we offer free online mental health counselling’, Rabrenović emphasised.
In addition, Medigroup’s Niš subsidiary has moved its PCR machine, able to process 500 coronavirus tests daily in two shifts, to the local public laboratory to allow more testing to take place in the city.
