Mars donates more than 1.5 million dinars

Mars has donated 27,000 Mars and Snickers chocolate bars and M&Ms packets worth in excess of RSD 1.5 Million

Mars, the maker of some of the world’s favourite brands, has donated 27,000 Mars and Snickers chocolate bars and M&Ms packets to the Serbian Red Cross. The donation, worth more than RSD 1.5 million, will be distributed by the Red Cross mainly to healthcare staff throughout the country as a token of gratitude for their exceptional dedication and selfless devotion to duty in responding to the coronavirus emergency. Serbian Red Cross volunteers will also receive gift baskets of sweets in recognition of their efforts and solidarity.

Globally, Mars has committed RSD 20 Million in both cash and in-kind donations to support the hundreds of communities where it works, or which it depends upon for its agricultural ingredients, that have been hit the hardest by the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘At Mars, we believe that the world we wish to see tomorrow begins with how we work today. This is why we feel it is important to support one another and believe that businesses have a great deal of responsibility in these unusual times. Our approach to doing business throughout the Covid-19 pandemic has been, and will remain, centred on ensuring the safety and welfare of our staff and caring for our communities. We’re all in this together and we all need to do our part to help the situation return to normal across the world as soon as possible’, said Predrag Milinčić, Market Director Balkans East at Mars.
