Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, the food manufacturer Bambi has donated more than RSD 30 Million to a variety of causes
As the pandemic progressed, Bambi endeavoured to provide support to health facilities on the frontline of the response to Covid-19. This month alone, we donated a large quantity of much-needed medical equipment to Belgrade’s Clinic for Tropical and Infectious Diseases, the Bežanijska Kosa Gerontology Centre, Kragujevac Clinical Centre, Užice General Hospital, Vranje General Hospital, and hospitals in Šabac and Surdulica. The company had previously given an aid package of medical equipment to Požarevac Hospital. During the state of emergency, Bambi also donated its products to health workers at all major healthcare facilities.
‘Our consumers have trusted Bambi for years, with Plazma, our biscuit brand, having proven particularly well-loved: we all have fond memories of Plazma and it has long been our most appreciated product beyond Serbia’s borders. This is why we wished and needed to play our part in the community, first and foremost by helping all the heroic health workers at this difficult time as they battle the pandemic. As the crisis began, we set up an initiative we called ‘Great Deeds Begin at Home’, where our consumers inspired us to donate products and personal protective equipment to health professionals and institutions throughout Serbia. With the situation in the country remaining very serious, we have resolved to continue helping by donating medical equipment to healthcare facilities in several cities’, said Dragan Stajković, General Manager of Bambi.
