WHAT IS AMCHAMPS SUMMER SCHOOL

AmCham’s one week intensive educational sub-program powered by Banca Intesa that enables participants to brush up a broad variety of skills and competencies that are becoming substantial in the modern job market and overcome the first challenges, both in case they decide to do corporate career, or to start their own business. After completion of this course, they learn how to work successfully in a team, develop strategies and business, and improve their knowledge regarding finance, accounting, public relations and communication, as well as cover a broad variety of business topics such as marketing and sales, customer relations, and presentation skills. This experience is designed to help them understand their strengths and weaknesses, as well as grow their network.

WH0 ARE THE PARTICIPANTS

21 ambitious graduates and postgraduate students from University of Belgrade, up to 25 years old. We are looking for participants who are devoted to planning their careers, eager to learn and are willing to challenge themselves to grow.

HOW WE DO IT

With its unique choice of lecturers, Summer School provides a critical element to students' education - an opportunity for them to learn from successful directors, managers and coaches from Banca Intesa and AmCham’s member companies. During the preparation of their final projects, students will be supported by the mentor – a representative of the University of Sheffield.

Interactive lectures and workshops on different business topics are held during one week intensive course at the premises of Banca Intesa and AmCham.

By working in teams of three people during the program, participants will strengthen the team spirit they will need later for the successful preparation of a final project - Improving Relations with Clients. Members of the team with the best rated project are awarded with the opportunity to directly qualify for the participation in the next AmChamps - Young Leaders in Change generation.

*It is necessary for the participants of the program to be present at the minimum of 80% of the lectures and workshops to be able to qualify for the second phase of the program- completing the tasks and obtaining the certificate on successful completion of the program.

AmChamps 2019 – Diploma Awards Ceremony

Attendance diplomas for the initial stage of this year’s AmChamps program have been awarded to the sixth generation of AmChamps participants. 25 young managers from AmCham member companies participated in the program in the role of mentors, while 25 students took part as mentees.

AmChamps 2019 - Neuromarketing, Success and CSR

AmChamps participants attended a Neuromarketing presentation held by Nikolaos Dimitriadis from Sheffield University, as well as a lecture on Success and Corporate Social Responsibility held by Radivoje Petrikić from CMS Reich-Rohrwig Heinz Law Office, alongside Branislav Knežević from McDonald’s.

AmChamps 2019: Leadership and Family Business Development

Participants in the third AmChamps gathering had a chance to meet Jelena Pavlović, AmCham President and President of the Philip Morris Board of Directors for south-east Europe, who talked about leadership, as well as the founders and representatives of TeleGroup, Diana Gligorijević and Aleksandar Vratonjić Gligorijević, who talked about family business development.
