AmCham Launches a Procurement Group Co-Hosted by IBM

In order to create an information and knowledge-transfer platform for Members’ Procurement officers, AmCham has launched an informal Procurement Group that began its work with a first meeting co-hosted by IBM on the Role of a Company’s Procurement Function

Over 30 procurement professionals attended the first Group meeting, exchanging ideas and know-how on procurement-related issues.

Cmilja Radojević, IBM’s Procurement Manager, greeted the attendees and presented various modern procurement tools: ‘e-sourcing’, encompassing procurement processes; automatic analysis of offers, control and analysis of costs and efficient contract management with a focus on spending.

IBM`s Key Account Sales Manager, Nebojša Avramović, presented a perspective of the procurement function from the Sales department point of view.

After the break, Marina Rakić, IBM HR Manager, facilitated an open dialogue on the role of the procurement officer in a company’s organizational structure.
